Jnana Yoga

Jnana Yoga is the Path of Knowledge and Wisdom. The word “Jnana” means spiritual knowledge or insight. This path focuses on self-inquiry and understanding the true nature of the Self. It teaches that ignorance (Avidya) is the root cause of suffering, and liberation comes through realizing the difference between the temporary body and the eternal soul. Jnana Yoga encourages deep reflection, study of sacred texts, and meditation to awaken the inner wisdom that leads to self-realization.

When a person looks beyond outer differences, sees all beings as one, and lives with awareness of their true divine nature, they are practicing Jnana Yoga — the Yoga of wisdom and realization.

Jnana Yoga is the journey from intellectual understanding to direct experience of truth. It removes ignorance through wisdom, revealing that the Self (Atman) is not separate from the Supreme Reality (Brahman).
